[Steps for usage]
1.Slabs should be heated or ventilated to remove moisture;
2. Use a brush to remove dust, scum and other impurities from the surface of the stone;
3. Mix glue in A:B=3:1 (by weight ), and mix completely;
4. Scrape back and forth and apply the glue evenly on the surface of the stone;
5. initial curing in 3-4 hours under 25 °C , and proceed to next procedure after 24 hours
6. Please clean the tools before the glue is uncured.
FAQ:
How to choose epoxy resin for Luxury Stone slab polishing?
Choose a high-transparency, medium-viscosity, two-component stone-grade epoxy formulated specifically for marble, quartzite, or onyx rather than a general-purpose or craft resin.
Key Criteria for Luxury Stone Slab Polishing
• Stone-Specific Calibration: Select products engineered for stone fabricators (such as specialized lines from suppliers like Tenax, Akemi, or RESINPRO) so the cured epoxy matches the exact gloss and hardness of the natural stone during diamond polishing. General-purpose or polyester resins often cure too soft or too hard, creating uneven sheen variations or 'halos' under raking light.
• Viscosity and Penetration: Opt for a medium-viscosity clear epoxy that allows the resin to deeply penetrate micro-fissures, hairline fractures, and internal pores without pooling excessively on the surface.
• High Optical Clarity & UV Stability: Ensure the formula is crystal-clear and UV-resistant to prevent yellowing, ambering, or cloudiness over time—especially critical for light-colored or white luxury marbles and exotic quartzites.
• Color Pigment Matching: Keep warm-tone and cool-tone pigment or color paste kits on hand (such as polyester or epoxy tinting pastes) to blend transparent resin seamlessly with the dominant background color of the slab. Always test your color mix wet on a scrap piece of the same stone before filling.
• Polishing System Compatibility: Pair the cured epoxy with graduated diamond and resin-bond polishing pads (moving from coarse to fine grits) and a dedicated stone or resin polishing compound (such as Carbon Polish for dark or black-veined surfaces) to bring the fill to an identical mirror finish as the surrounding stone.
