Mix ratio:A:B=1:1
Apperance:Blue,White,Gold
Performance characteristics
The product is one kind of modified epoxy resin adhesive. There are following properties:
1. Very low viscosity and excellent permeability
2. Harden well at low temperature and damp conditions
3. Good aging resistance and medium resistance
Viscosity(25℃,mPa•s):
A:15000-20000
B:15000-20000
Gel time(25℃,min):60-90
Hardening time(25℃,h):3-4
Tensile shear strength(MPa):≥15
Application Method
1. Dry the blocks which need to repair. It would be better if exposed to sunshine for several hours.
2. Repair the cracks on the surface of blocks with sealant;then perfuse the epoxy into the blocks after hardening
3. Fix nozzle on the cracks at every 20cm
4. Mix the glue thoroughly according to weight ratio, then pour it into equipment to perfusion
5. Upon finishing the perfusion, remove the nozzles after the glue curing, and proceed to next process.
Cautions
1. Cracks should be sealed well to prevent the glue outflow.
2. Fix the nozzle well to prevent it pop-up
3. Mix the glue thoroughly to avoid hardening incompletely.
4. Clean the equipment with alcohol or acetone to prevent blockage
5. In case of contact skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
Storage and transportation
1. Store in cool, dry, ventilated conditions in well sealed receptacles with one year shelf life. Expired products can be used when tested qualified.
2. Transported and stored as non-dangerous goods.
Overall reinforcement for block material external package;Applicable Scope
Mainly used in repairing of internal defect in stone blocks
FAQ:
How to choose epoxy resin for Stone Block Wrapping,Coating, or Binding?
Choosing the right epoxy resin for stone block wrapping, coating, or binding depends on the stone color, placement (indoor vs. outdoor), and viscosity needs:
1. Match Resin Type to Stone Color
• Colored or Natural Stones: Use a clear, low-yellowing epoxy binder (such as Trasparente). Epoxy works best here to maintain the rich, vibrant hues of dark or multi-colored aggregates.
• White or Light Stones: Choose a non-yellowing polyurethane-based binder rather than standard epoxy, as white stones can show amber or yellow tints over time when exposed to light or weather.
2. Consider Viscosity and Application Angle
• Horizontal Surfaces or In-Between Pours: Use a low-to-medium viscosity epoxy that flows easily and wets out the stone surfaces completely.
• Vertical Surfaces and Edges (Wrapping / Seams): Use a knife-grade or thixotropic epoxy mastic (such as Magelstick). This thick, paste-like consistency prevents the resin from sagging or running down vertical stone faces.
3. Indoor vs. Outdoor Environment
• Outdoor Exposure (UV and Weather): Ensure the product explicitly features UV resistance and weatherproof additives to prevent breakdown or yellowing under sunlight.
• Temperature Curing: Check that the product cures properly in your working environment (most epoxies require temperatures above 10°C/50°F).
4. Thickness and Mix Ratio
• Thin Coatings vs. Thick Blocks: Respect the maximum pour thickness of the resin (typically capped around 2 cm for standard casting/embedding resins) to avoid overheating or uneven curing.
• Mix Ratios: Look at the ratio specifications—1:1 ratios offer easier, faster mixes for general DIY, while specialized 100:60 or 2:1 structural or industrial binders provide higher mechanical strength for heavy-duty stone encapsulation.
